Alphabet Highway
The Alphabet Superhighway, under sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Education's READ*WRITE*NOW! Initiative, assists secondary and upper elementary students in creating, locating, and communicating information through active learning, guided discovery, mentoring, competitions, and other on-line activities. To raise reading and writing achievement in the United States and to prepare children for the challenges of the 21st century, the Alphabet Superhighway provides state-of-the-art educational experiences through libraries, schools, and even home computers that are linked to the World Wide Web.
