Parental involvement is key. I would like for them to bring

will be doing activities in these groups.

Greetings from Mrs. Goulet!
Congratulations, Melyssa on a job well done at the Regional
Spelling Bee!
Last week we celebrated
reading by focusing on books written by Dr. Seuss. On Thursday was “Green
Eggs and Ham” day, we used this theme in most of our daily activities. Our
math project was to imagine owning a catering company and to create a quote
for a Green Eggs and Ham party. The students listed out what they would
need for ingredients, researched prices at different grocery stores,
calculated how much of each item they would need to feed 100 people, and
figured out how much the cost of food would be. They then discussed a fee
that they would charge to cater this party and present a quote with the
total cost. It was a great activity and the students seemed to enjoy it.
They began the activity on Thursday and finished it Friday.
This week we will focus on finishing chapter 5.
The final drafts of our technology research reports will be
finished by the end of this week. Mrs. Kimball worked with fifth and sixth
grades on creating graphs to add to their reports. The reports are coming
out great! The new spelling list is coming home today. This week we are
working on words that have the suffixes –er, -est, -ed, -ing. Spelling
packets are due Thursday and the test will be Friday morning.
Have a great week, and as always if you have any questions or concerns
please let me know!
