If you are a new student of mine, welcome to my classroom!  By putting this webpage address in my letter to you, I was hoping you would check it out even before school began.  Since you have checked it out, that must mean that you are as excited as I am to begin school this year!  I just love this time of year.  The newness of everything.  All the crayon boxes are in perfect condition, everything in the classroom is clean,  and there is an anticipation in the air about what interesting things the new year will bring.  I promise you that you are going to have a fun year!  I have many exciting and fun surprises for you!

I wrote in my letter all about the various things we'll be learning about this year.  I find it all so interesting and fun!  Just in case you lost your list, here is a list of the materials you'll need this year:

        You MUST have the following:

• a three-ring binder with subject dividers labeled Spelling, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science

• lots of small sticky notes

• pens (blue, black, and red) and pencils

• a water bottle (your brain needs to have water for it to learn best)

• a combination lock for your locker ( I don't allow laser locks or key locks - there have been too many chopped of lockers!  At least I can help you get into your combination one if you get stuck!)

    It would be great if you could have these things, too!

• gluesticks

• any art supplies you would like

Come to school prepared to do a lot of thinking and have lots of fun!  I can't wait to see you on September 4th!

By the way, on the first day of school, if you tell me that my favorite meal out is two Burger King hamburgers with no ketchup and extra mustard and pickles, I'll give you a treat.   Or, you can send me an email at arecord@sau3.org. Sssshhhh!  Don't tell anyone else in our class, though.  Let's see how many of you decided to check out this webpage!
